Faith Laboratory in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai; Reverse engineering the interactions between our diets, our gut microbes and microbiome, and our health

Welcome

In the Faith Lab in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we are developing and applying experimental and computational tools to understand the interactions between diet, the microbiota, and human health (with an emphasis on Inflammatory Bowel Disease).

Areas of interest to the laboratory include the structure and stability of the human gut microbiota, the interactions between our gut microbes and our immune system, the development of computational and experimental technologies to model and assay host/microbe interactions, and the translation of gut microbiome research to clinical trials.
