Faith Laboratory in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai; Reverse engineering the interactions between our diets, our gut microbes and microbiome, and our health

Welcome

In the Faith Lab in the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we are developing and applying experimental and computational tools understand gut microbiota microbiota structure and function to develop live defined microbial therapeutics.

Areas of interest to the laboratory include: 1) understanding the influence of gut microbiota strain variation on human disease risk, 2) identifying microbial strains that modulate host phenotypic variation, 3) the stability of the human gut microbiota, and 4) phase I microbiome-based therapeutics.
